Community Assistance Projects Recently Completed!
The Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly has recently supported communities across Queensland with the assistance of District Grants provided through The Rotary Foundation and Rotary District 9620.
We assisted local charity Hemmant Equine Agistment and Riding Therapy (H.E.A.R.T) to make their paddocks and property entrance safer, and more rainfall resistant, by providing 5 truckloads of crusher dust to building up pathways and access points. This will make it safer for both horse and vehicular movements and put them in a better position to continue to provide services to their disadvantaged client base during periods of intense rainfall.

In addition to the H.E.A.R.T project, we have worked tirelessly with the Bulloo Shire Council and other organisations to help since the early 2025 floods in Western Queensland. We have provided an Automated External Defibrillator and a portable, petrol-powered 5 metre tall light pole. Both items can be used by any community events held within the region, providing potentially life-saving equipment as well as equipment that can improve visibility at night-time events throughout the shire.

We are very pleased to be able to assist both local organisations and communities that have experienced significant upheaval following natural disasters. These projects reflect Rotary’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and providing practical support where it is needed most.
We extend our sincere thanks to Rotary District 9620 and The Rotary Foundation for providing the grants that made these projects possible.
